Case 07 Self-propelled Postbus builds accident

On 21 September 2016, a chauffeurless PostBus AG Smart Shuttle will touch the open tailgate of a parked delivery van in the centre of the Valais capital Sion. A window glass on the left side of the minibus broke and the tailgate of the van was slightly damaged. There were three people in the vehicle, nobody was injured. According to the police, the Smart-Shuttle was travelling in autonomous mode and was supervised by an instructing escort.

In this case, who can be considered as a liable party under what kind of liability? What type of damage is this? What type of compensation can be expected in this case?
